Reflections on CTS at 40: Nancy Daubenberger
CTS was happy to find a few minutes during the 2026 Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon to connect with Commissioner Daubenberger. Watch this video or read her reflection below.
At MnDOT, we've really appreciated our partnership with the University of Minnesota and CTS over many years. I'm honored to serve as a member of the executive committee for CTS — helping them with their strategic direction when it comes to transportation, affecting change in transportation policy, and collaborating on priority research in transportation.
I've also appreciated the technical and organizational support CTS provides to us when it comes to workshops and conferences, as well as councils and committees like the Minnesota Freight Advisory Council and the Governor's Advisory Council on Connected and Automated Vehicles. I appreciate the support we have in looking at not only today's transportation challenges, but also looking out five to 20 years from now.
I also appreciate the support we get from CTS in making human connections to grow and expand our network of folks within the transportation sector between public sector employees and academia, and private sector folks, and our industry partners. CTS helps us at MnDOT work toward our vision of achieving a multimodal transportation system that maximizes the health of people, the environment, and our economy.
Thank you again, CTS, for the partnership over the years. Happy 40th anniversary!
