Recent consideration by the Minneapolis and St. Paul city councils of contracts for the use of drones to augment law enforcement and emergency management drew a great deal of attention in Minnesota. The councils' discussion and rejection of the potential contracts highlights the growing use of drones in our daily lives, as well as the complicated policy questions that arise from their deployment.
