About the Event
This annual event convenes researchers and practitioners from Minnesota and the Upper Midwest to highlight the latest innovations in transportation. Attendees learn about research findings, implementation efforts, and engagement activities related to a variety of transportation topics.
This year's program highlights included:
- An opening keynote presentation and panel discussion exploring the evolution of e-commerce and its implications for transportation planning and infrastructure design, featuring Alison Conway with The City College of New York.
- An afternoon keynote from Robert Hampshire, executive director of the University of Minnesota's newly established Research Development Office. He discussed how the nexus of research, innovation, and implementation in academia, agency, and the private sector can transform transportation.
- Twelve concurrent sessions exploring rural design, fleet electrification, freight, transit, equitable planning, AI and traffic safety, materials and structures, mode shift, and more.
