Traffic Sign Retro-Reflectivity Training Workshops FY16

Project summary:

The FY16 Traffic Sign Retro-Reflectivity Training Workshops project is developing a four-hour interactive workshop to deliver 15 times to primarily city and county sign shop workers and MnDOT sign maintenance personnel. The workshop will include course materials, hands-on demonstrations, and classroom exercise teaching formats. Each of the workshops will be identical in style, format, and content.

Class curriculum may include but is not limited to:

  1. Introduction to sign assessment and management methods
  2. Good and bad sign examples
  3. Good sign installation
  4. Sign inventory best practices
  5. Retro-reflectivity tools
  6. Nighttime visual inspection
