MN MMUTCD Training

Principal Investigator(s):

Jim Grothaus, Former Sr Dir, Tech Assist, Center for Transportation Studies

Project summary:

Ten one-day workshops on the 2001 edition of the Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices will be delivered to a wide-range of stakeholders. The primary audience for the training sessions will be a variety of transportation practitioners, including state and local transportation engineers, planners, and public works department employees. Together, the training and supporting materials will enhance the key principles of MnDOT's new Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. While the principles of MN MUTCD are the same regardless of the type or jurisdiction of roadway, the types of projects and their associated standards are somewhat different for local agencies and MnDOT employees. This training would be tailored to address the needs of both groups, specifically focusing on the use of the manual within Minnesota.
