Eric Lind directs the Accessibility Observatory at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Transportation Studies. He leads research and application activities including the National Accessibility Evaluation pooled fund study to measure nationwide access to destinations across modes and destination types.
Lind holds a PhD from the University of Maryland and has over 20 years of experience examining complex systems through data visualization and statistics. He is an adjunct instructor at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and formerly served as manager of research and analytics at Metro Transit until 2017. He served as a member of the Transportation Research Board’s Standing Committee on Transit Data until it was disbanded in 2025.
