Lauren Linderman's research combines analytical, experimental, and field studies in the area of smart structures for improving the long-term performance of civil infrastructure. Her primary areas of interest include structural monitoring, vibration mitigation strategies, data acquisition techniques, and concrete behavior. Her current efforts focus on leveraging the computational and sensing capabilities of distributed sensor systems for improving the long-term performance of bridge infrastructure.
Linderman received a BS in civil engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD and MS in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
