University of Minnesota Snow Control Web Tools: Maintenance and Administration

Project summary:

This project is for the Center for Transportation Studies (CTS) to display and maintain the web-based tools developed from previous Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT)-sponsored projects: the Living Snow Fence cost-benefit tool and the Living Snow Fence design tool. CTS developed the Blowing Snow Control Tools website at, which includes access to the tools along with videos and documentation for using the tools. CTS updated the annual data used in the cost-benefit tool. CTS also marketed the tools through communications mechanisms such as the CTS website and Catalyst newsletter and the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) website and Exchange newsletter.
