Project summary:

An underground pipeline system provides a promising alternative to the current practice of using trucks for transportation of freight on congested highways. This research examines operational aspects of such a system. Both theoretical analysis and computer simulations will be conducted. Results of this study could provide guidelines for the design of a freight transportation system.
