Peer-to-Peer Sharing Economy with Application to Shared Mobility

Principal Investigator(s):

Saifallah Benjaafar, Former Professor, Industrial and Systems Engineering

Project summary:

The goal of this study is to develop equilibrium models for collaborative consumption in a sharing economy where agents decide according to their preferences to become sellers (suppliers of services by buying necessary assets) or renters of services. The study will also specialize the above models for the case where assets are exclusively used by the owner or the renter (case of car sharing) or are used simultaneously by both the owner and the renter(s) (case of ride sharing).
