Project summary:
The Minnesota Department of Transportation provided leadership and financing to develop the Minnesota Road Research Facility (MnROAD), to construct the original pavement test sections, and to operate and maintain the facility. Results of the research, supported by local,national and international partners, are now emerging as the initial pavement sections are reaching their optimum research life value. This project reviews the existing governance structure and considers alternative governance structures that will ensure MnROAD remains operational to meet the ongoing pavement research needs for Minnesota, the Midwest region, and the nation.
