Principal Investigator(s):

Co-Investigators:

  • Jim Grothaus, Former Sr Dir, Tech Assist, Center for Transportation Studies

Project summary:

The Center for Transportation Studies (CTS) will assist a peer review team from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in a review of MnDOT's organizational structure and resource allocation process. This peer review is being conducted as part of a response to recommendations made by a Transportation Strategic Management and Operations Advisory Task Force created by the 2008 Legislature. CTS will be conducting a scan of best practices on these topics within other state DOT's and produce a technical memorandum outlining the findings of the scan. The findings will also be presented in an oral report at the conclusion of the review's on-site assessment. In addition, CTS staff will assist with the logistics and arrangements of the on-site assessment by the ASCE peer review team.
