Principal Investigator(s):

Project summary:

In 2007 and 2008, CTS facilitated and/or hosted several project management skills trainings for for the Minnesota Department of Transportation's (Mn/DOT) Office of Technical Support. As a result of these successful trainings, Mn/DOT has asked the University of Minnesota to coordinate and manage a two-day "Advanced Skills for Project Managers" training and a one-day "Critical Issues for Project Managers" training. The trainings will be geared toward the expected audience of Mn/DOT employees, project managers and program directors. The trainings will also be specific to the kinds of issues that are most common and detrimental to transportation projects. It will improve awareness of critical issues and problem solving skills. About 80% of the attendees are expected to be Mn/DOT employees.
