Kirsten Strandjord’s research focuses on positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) with applications to aerospace vehicles and autonomous systems. From 2011 to 2013 she was an electrophysicist at Boeing. Strandjord has been an assistant professor in the University of Minnesota’s aerospace engineering department since 2021. She received a master's in aeronautics and astronautics from Purdue and holds a PhD in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado.
