Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics
Kirsten Strandjord is an assistant professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota, where she is also a faculty member of the Minnesota Robotics Institute. She has a PhD in aerospace engineering sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, a master’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Purdue University, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, and computer science from Luther College. Her research interests focus on a wide range of topics within positioning, navigation, and timing, including GPS and global navigation satellite system technology, cis-lunar navigation, and urban navigation.
