About the Webinar

This interactive webinar, presented by the Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation (CHAI) in partnership with CTS, explored the topic of transportation and aging, with special attention to the challenges and opportunities in rural areas. The event featured a presentation by Lisa D'Ambrosio and a discussion including four Minnesota panelists of diverse professional backgrounds who shared their experiences and recommendations regarding transportation for older adults in rural areas.

The webinar was held as part of CTS's Rural Needs, Statewide Answers: Improving Transportation for All thematic focus in 2024.

Webinar speakers

Lisa D’Ambrosio is a research scientist at the the MIT AgeLab. Her research broadly investigates the attitudes and preferences of older adults and those who care for them. She currently leads the CareHive research consortium, while also performing research on the built environment, transportation, personal technology use, and longevity planning. She received her PhD in political science from the University of Michigan.
