About the Conference

The conference convenes researchers and practitioners from Minnesota and the Upper Midwest to highlight new learning, emerging ideas, and the latest innovations in transportation. Attendees will learn about research findings, implementation efforts, and engagement activities related to a variety of transportation topics.

Call for Presentations

If you have completed or participated in an innovative research, implementation, or engagement activity, please consider sharing your work at the 2017 conference. You may submit a brief abstract for either a lectern presentation or a poster. (The poster session will be scheduled only if there is demonstrated interest.)

Potential presenters must submit abstracts and biographies electronically by April 24, 2017, for consideration. CTS will notify submitters by mid-June 2017 whether or not their abstract has been accepted for presentation.

Abstracts should include title, objective of research or study, methodology or approach, findings or results, potential applications, and policy implications. Entire panel sessions may be submitted as one abstract. Presenter biographies should also be submitted. They should include current position title, interests, current projects, education, key past jobs/roles, and licenses held.

Audience

The conference audience consists of individuals from multiple disciplines and organizations involved in transportation, including policymakers and practitioners from state, regional, and local government; private sector consultants, shippers, carriers, and providers; and faculty, students, and staff from the University of Minnesota and other educational institutions.
