FY22-23 Administrative Support for the Minnesota Freight Advisory Committee

Project summary:

The Minnesota Freight Advisory Committee (MFAC) provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and addressing of issues between the private sector and MnDOT and other agencies to develop and promote a safe, reliable, efficient and environmentally responsible freight transportation system for the state. Under the direction of staff from MnDOTa??s Office of Freight and Commercial Vehicle Operations (OFCVO), CTS provides administrative support for the MFAC and its activities. In FY2022 and FY2023, this support will include: supporting Executive Committee planning meetings and activities; serving as liaison between the MFAC and University of Minnesota departments and colleges that conduct freight and logistics research and education; coordinating and planning eight MFAC business meetings; producing an MFAC annual report for calendar year 2021 and 2022; developing two freight-related white papers on a topic identified in coordination with the MFAC Executive Committee; producing and distributing a bimonthly MFAC electronic news bulletin; and providing support for state freight plan stakeholder engagement meetings.
