Description
Featured speaker and CTS Research Scholar Dr. Alireza Khani will discuss how Autonomous Mobility-on-Demand (AMoD) could fill the critical gap between transit stops and final destinations, making public transportation more accessible and equitable. Using the Miller Hill Mall area in Duluth, MN, as a case study, Dr. Khani will explore how AMoD could improve transit quality of service and attract more riders to use transit, reducing vehicle miles traveled and promoting environmental sustainability.
Participants will discover how these advancements can help bridge mobility disparities and enhance transit services for all. Read a University of Minnesota Center for Transportation Studies Catalyst article published in August on the Miller Hill Mall study.
