A new report published by the Center for Transportation Studies details a series of four workshops held between April and June 2024 with a diverse group of participants, including University of Minnesota researchers and transportation professionals from local, regional, and state agencies.
Using the Metropolitan Council's Transportation Policy Plan 2050 as a foundation, the Shared Transportation Goals workshops focused on pivotal themes shaping the future of transportation: equity, climate change and natural systems, regional resilience, and community health and safety.
The report provides a roadmap for continued collaboration among transportation professionals and highlights how academia can contribute to a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient transportation system for all Minnesotans.
The series of workshops was convened by CTS and sponsored by the Metropolitan Council.
