Edward G. Goetz is Director of Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA), and professor of urban and regional planning at the Humphrey School, University of Minnesota. Professor Goetz specializes in housing and community development research. He recently completed a study of the land use and community impacts of the Hiawatha Light Rail Line in Minneapolis. He teaches courses in Urban Spatial and Social Dynamics, Managing Urban Growth and Change, and Housing Policy. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Northwestern University in 1987. His most recent book, "Clearing the Way: Deconcentrating the Poor in Urban America" received the Paul Davidoff Award from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning.
