Pamela J. Snopl, CTS managing editor, plans and leads communications for CTS and its subprograms. In this role she provides strategic direction on communications initiatives and programs; develops plans and strategies to meet client needs; initiates and manages projects; writes and edits specialized content for publication in print and electronic media; oversees development of design and visual elements; and provides oversight and guidance to communications staff.
Snopl is the co-editor of the CTS Catalyst monthly newsletter and editor of the newsletters of the Minnesota Local Technical Assistance Program. She has more than 30 years of experience writing and editing a variety of publications, including research reports, handbooks and manuals, annual reports, events proceedings, brochures, and videos. In addition, she has extensive project management and supervisory experience plus strong knowledge of the transportation field. Her work has received awards from the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators and Graphic Design USA.
Before joining the University, Snopl was a technical writer for Sperry Corporation (now Unisys). She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a major in political science and additional coursework in journalism and computer science. She is a member of the University of Minnesota’s Communicators Forum.
