Ms. McGinnis is the director at the University of Minnesota Center for Transportation Studies. She leads the Center in identifying program opportunities, securing funding, directing programs, and establishing future directions in transportation research, education, and engagement with involvement of over 150 faculty and research staff from more than 30 departments.
Nationally, McGinnis is active in the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC), where she serves on the Executive Committee as treasurer. Internationally, she serves as Advisory Board President for the SKILLFUL project in the EU. In addition, she is active with the Transportation Research Board, where she is currently a member of the Committee on International Cooperation and has previously served as chair of the Research and Education Section and the Conduct of Research Committee. She has also served as a member of several national TRB project oversight committees.
McGinnis holds a B.S. degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin, along with master’s degrees in public affairs and business administration from the University of Minnesota.
