With more than ten years experience in the areas of urban planning, community development, housing and transportation, Kaydee Kirk joined CTS in January 2010 and currently serves as program coordinator. In this role, she oversees program development and delivery, outreach, and customized training for a wide range of programs including the Transportation Engineering Road Research Alliance, Toward Zero Deaths, the Center for Excellence in Rural Safety and projects in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Previously, Kirk was research manager in sustainable regional development at the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) and also worked in the areas of community development, economic development, and civic engagement for the City of Brooklyn Park. Other prior positions include the City of Minneapolis Community Planning and Economic Development Department, Lakefront Supportive Housing in Chicago, IL, and the National Council of La Raza in Washington, D.C. She holds a master's degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs, a graduate certificate in community development and affordable housing through the Urban Developers Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a B.A. in metro-urban studies from Augsburg College.
