Practitioners & Professionals
Whether you're a snowplow driver, an engineer, or a policymaker, staying on top of the latest in transportation is key to your professional development. Choose from a wide variety of transportation-related workshops, seminars, and other learning opportunities offered by CTS and our affiliated programs. Spend from an hour to a few days with innovators and experts helping you cultivate your knowledge of current practices, policies, and procedures in transportation.
CTS holds hour-long seminars to allow researchers from a variety of disciplines to share their findings. Seminars are held on the University of Minnesota campus and are open to the public. Each seminar qualifies for one Professional Development Hour (PDH), and some seminars qualify for AICP continuing maintenance credit.
Technical Assistance and Training Workshops
The Minnesota Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) offers workshops, usually one day in length, throughout the year at various locations around the state in topic areas ranging from drainage and erosion control to traffic control. The Circuit Training and Assistance Program (CTAP), part of LTAP, uses a fully equipped van to provide on-site technical assistance and training to maintenance personnel throughout Minnesota. Annual events such as the fall maintenance expo also offer further training opportunities.
The Airport Technical Assistance Program (AirTAP) offers a range of training sessions related to airport operations, maintenance, and administration at the annual Minnesota Airport Symposium and the AirTAP Fall Forum.
Continuing Professional Education
CTS partners with the College of Continuing Education (CCE) for many of its outreach and training programs and suggests that you visit their website for continuing professional education offerings.
CCE can also provide customized training to meet the special needs of your organization. Contact Jean McLeod for further information at 612-625-4207 or email@example.com.
Customized Professional Training
