The Center for Transportation Studies

The Center for Transportation Studies (CTS) at the University of Minnesota is a nationally prominent center for research, education, and public outreach in transportation. CTS strives to be a catalyst for innovation in transportation research, education, and outreach. The Minnesota Department of Transportation

Minnesota’s state transportation agency supports a wide variety of transportation systems and services, including highways, transit, water and rail freight, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and aviation. Mn/DOT works to provide a coordinated transportation network that meets the needs of Minnesota's citizens and businesses for safe, timely and predictable travel. Hennepin County

Home to the city of Minneapolis and surrounding urban and suburban areas, Hennepin County is a diverse and dynamic region. The county government provides transportation systems including roadways, light rail transit, and multi-use bikeways which link metropolitan systems and local systems. Hennepin County’s vision for the future is a region where  residents are healthy and successful and where communities are safe and vibrant. To achieve these goals, the county seeks to involve people and communities in developing innovative solutions to new challenges, including the changing roles of transportation in the lives of its citizens.

The Metropolitan Council

The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency serving the Twin Cities seven-county metropolitan area and providing essential services to the region. The mission of the Metropolitan Council is to develop, in cooperation with local communities, a comprehensive regional planning framework, focusing on transportation, wastewater, parks and aviation systems, that guides the efficient growth of the metropolitan area.
