The I-394 corridor west of downtown Minneapolis is the focus of efforts by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) to reduce congestion and increase efficiency. In addition to the MnPASS electronic tolling system, public transit is a key element of Mn/DOT's efforts.
This project explores opportunities to make the I-394 MnPASS corridor more transit-friendly by increasing access to transit stops and by enhancing transit stop design. Issues to be addressed include transit-friendly development, pedestrian and bicycle access to the transit stops, park-and-ride lot design, and the transit stops themselves.
