Maintenance and Enhancement for the National Rural Highway Safety Clearinghouse

Project Summary:

At the request of the US DOT and FHWA, the Center for Excellence in Rural Safety at the University of Minnesota established and launched the National Rural Highway Safety Clearinghouse, an online information repository, in June 2008. The objectives of this project were to streamline maintenance of the site by implementing a content management system, to provide additional features such as Really Simple Syndication (RSS) news feeds, and to increase awareness of rural safety best practices and resources among safety practitioners, researchers, and policymakers.
