Intelligent transportation systems can enhance communication among police, emergency medical personnel, and other public safety providers. This project examined the relationship between this enhanced communication and quality of service in emergency situations. Researchers conducted interviews and analyzed data gathered from the emergency medical process to reach their conclusions. The researchers also developed a software program to analyze case studies of emergency management in rural Minnesota in order to gain further perspective.
