Project Summary:
The focus and purpose of the Field Guide is to provide field assistance and technical information used in snow and ice maintenance operations to the local agency road maintenance staff. The proposed Snow and Ice Maintenance Operation Field will be an easy-to-use reference guide for maintenance personnel designed to assist in correctly identifying pavement conditions and weather conditions (using RWIS) and determining the best maintenance practice and recommended -application of chemicals used.
