This research supports (1) development of ITS gerontechnology research on mobility and accessibility in later life (especially for older drivers); (2) development of recommendations for a prototype battery of tests for use in laboratory assessment, clinical screening, and maintenance (especially retraining) of fitness-to-drive; and (3) development of the capabilities for conducting research on the effects of age and health on human movement control and speed of behavior.
