Campuses:
Vassilios Morellas, Director, Computer Science and Engineering
This project seeks to expand on previous work at the University of Minnesota to develop superior response and tracking, detection of anomalous behaviors, and camera coordination in complex transportation terminals. Through refinement of the algorithms used and miniaturization of the hardware needed to run the software package, these capabilities will be improved and made relevant for other TSWG defined end users. A video analytic capability will be designed, developed, tested, demonstrated, and delivered in addition to on-site training and appropriate documentation suitable for government use and operation. The surveillance video aid will work with a wider range of cameras and will operate on a PC-based computer system. It will be able to monitor a minimum of nine cameras or similar sensor inputs, with a desired capability of 32.
