Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is holding a “do.walk do.bike Build momentum in Minnesota” event September 1–2 at the Radisson University Hotel in Minneapolis.
Event cosponsors include Bike Walk Twin Cities, an initiative of Transit for Livable Communities; the Minnesota Department of Health; the Minnesota Department of Transportation; and CTS.
Keynote speakers will include nationally recognized physical activity experts Gil Penalosa, executive director of Walk & Bike for Life, and Andy Clarke, executive director of the League of American Bicyclists.
Breakout sessions will showcase work by Minnesotans—health and safety officials, planners, engineers, park and recreation professionals, grassroots advocates and involved citizens, and business and policy leaders—working to make supportive environments and programs for walking and biking features of our communities.
