Proceedings of freight, congestion pricing workshops available

The proceedings of the FHWA's "National Freight Transportation Workshop," hosted last September 12–14 by CTS, is now available. If you prefer a CD-ROM of the document, call CTS at 612-626-1077 or e-mail CTS@tc.umn.edu. To download the PDF file (50 pages), go to the Publications page.

Also available is the summary report of the "Congestion in the Twin Cities: Who's Paying the Price" workshop held last November 28–29. Workshop sponsors were the FHWA and the Humphrey Institute's State and Local Policy Program; CTS was one of several cosponsors.

"Congestion is becoming a big problem in the Twin Cities; finding solutions to solve it is an even bigger problem. This workshop was held to explore the growing congestion problem in the Twin Cities, examine the role of market-based or value pricing solutions in a regional contxt, and set an action agenda for value pricing efforst in the metropolitan area."
