Linda Preisen is the director of research administration, responsible for oversight and management of the Center's research program activities. Preisen oversees research development initiatives and contracting processes, coordinates the formation of interdisciplinary research teams, and monitors outcomes of research activities. She works closely with CTS-affiliated faculty and research staff to facilitate interactions with sponsoring agencies and attract funding for research.
Preisen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from South Dakota State University and is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota. Prior to joining CTS In 2002, her previous experience included bridge/tunnel design and project management at the South Dakota Department of Transportation and HNTB Corporation. She has more than 14 years of experience in design, project coordination, and research program management in the field of transportation.
Preisen is currently the vice president of ITS Minnesota and is a member of the Minnesota Chapter of Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), where she has held several positions on the chapter's board of directors.
