As the director of research administration at the Center for Transportation Studies, Linda provides coordination and management for research program activities. She coordinates the annual request for research proposals (RFP), manages the research project selection process and works closely with faculty and research staff to facilitate connections with sponsoring organizations. Linda is also responsible for monitoring outcomes of research activities and reporting to sponsors on research progress.
Prior to joining the University in 2002, Linda was a project manager and structural design engineer at HNTB for four years, where she participated in the design of transportation structures such as airport tunnels and highway bridges. She was a design engineer in the Bridge Office of the South Dakota Department of Transportation from 1995-1998. Linda holds a BS degree in civil engineering from South Dakota State University and is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota.
Linda is a member of the Minnesota Chapter of Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), where she has held several positions on the chapter's board of directors. She is also a member of the Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society.
