McCullough's CTS research projects
Gerard McCullough specializes in the areas of industrial organization, the economics of transportation, and applied econometrics. He teaches at the graduate level in applied economics and business. His research on transportation economics has been published in the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity, the Journal of Regulatory Economics and other leading journals.
McCullough holds an A.B. from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From 1977 to 1980 he was a Special Assistant at the U.S. Department of Transportation and was cited by Secretary Goldschmidt for work on the Staggers Rail Act. He is also a former director of the Center for Transportation Studies.
