Biesoboer's CTS research projects
David Biesboer has been a member of the graduate faculty of the Department of Plant Biology since joining the University of Minnesota in 1980. His research interests are in the area of ecophysiology, focusing on the study of nutrient cycling in wetlands and roadside vegetation management for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. He teaches general botany, field plant biology, and plant anatomy to undergraduate and graduate students.
Biesboer received his bachelor's degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan; his M.S. from Illinois State University, and his Ph.D. in plant physiology/anatomy from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. In addition to his work on Minnesota's roadways and wetlands, Biesboer's research has taken him to South Africa, Brazil, Bolivia, and Siberia.
