CTS conducts programs and works with a variety of academic departments to promote a broad, multidisciplinary education in transportation at the University of Minnesota. CTS also offers resources to assist students with networking and employment.

Whether you're a snowplow driver, an engineer, or a policymaker, staying on top of the latest in transportation is key to your professional development. Choose from a wide variety of transportation-related workshops, seminars, and other learning opportunities offered by CTS and our affiliated programs. Spend from an hour to a few days with innovators and experts helping you cultivate your knowledge of current practices, policies, and procedures in transportation.
Each year, CTS presents the Matthew J. Huber Award and the John S. Adams Award for Excellence in Transportation Research and Education, and the ITS Institute awards the ITS Institute Outstanding Student of the Year. Each includes a cash award. In addition, CTS and the ITS Institute offer travel awards to reimburse selected students for actual expenses incurred traveling to conferences, such as the Transportation Research Board annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

The Transportation Education E-News is designed to inform university faculty of tools, initiatives, and activities for improving transportation education, especially in the field of transportation engineering. This newsletter is sponsored by CTS, the Intelligent Transportation Systems Institute, and the STREET (Simulating Transportation for Realistic Engineering Education and Training) project.
