Introduction to Production and Operations Management
An introduction to the role of operations management in an organization,
including production processes, linear programming, layout, inventory
control, scheduling, project management and quality assurance.
Production and Operations Management (graduate)
Through case studies this course will reinforce the concepts and
techniques of modern production planning and control. Special
emphasis will be given to the use of mathematical programming
techniques carried out on computers, and to recent trends such
as Just-in-Time (JIT), Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS), Computer-integrated
Manufacturing (CIM) and global competitiveness.
