How This Department Is Related to Transportation

An emphasis in Human Factors through the School of Kinesiology is an interdisciplinary area of study focusing on how human performance and behavior (including health and safety implications) are influence by design factors in the performance environment. In the transportation field, Human Factors is primarily concerned with human-centered vehicle design and other ways to make transportation systems more user-friendly.
