Electrical engineers work in highly diverse areas such as computers, semiconductors, electric energy, defense and aerospace systems, and automotive electronics. Similar to the computer science and engineering department, electrical engineers can apply their expertise to the high-tech needs of traffic engineering and data analysis, including ramp metering, traffic flow, information systems design, and more. The University of Minnesota offers excellent electrical and computer engineering programs at both the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses
